The placement of cell towers has always been the purview of local officials, but a new bill in Washington gives that power to the FCC.

This week on Green Street, Patti and Doug talk about the harmful health impacts of flame retardants in cars, and a new study showing more than half of American kids are breathing polluted air. Then Doug talks about legislation pending in Washington would allow the FCC to overrule local officials and permit telecoms to place antennas pretty much wherever they want.
