The ChildSafe School - Part One

School is a child's second home, but the products used in and around schools can contain an array of chemicals known to be harmful to kids.
In the news this week, Patti and Doug talk about the Trump administration blocking wind power projects, harmful chemicals found in baby mattresses, and how the EPA has disbanded the department to study nitrates in drinking water. Then in Part One of a two-part series, we focus on environmental exposures in schools, addressing toxic cleaning products, diesel exhaust from idling school buses, and pesticides commonly used on school grounds.
